| That's Me with My Fat Baby inside! |
My Dream- Give birth to a healthy brown baby, born naturally
into our world through a home birth attended by a loving, experienced and
down-to-earth home birth midwife. Then spend at least three months home with
baby providing care, breastfeeding and connecting with him with love and
affection all around us!
Now here is where things get rocky...
I just learned from my
midwife that there is a possibility that my medical insurance will not cover
the cost of my midwife and delivery. When I heard these words and thought of
the fact that I will not be covered by my job for maternity leave and therefore
have to pay for my entire time off I was flushed with feelings of defeat. So
naturally, I started to cry. Right there in front of her, because that is
NOT FAIR! She held my hand and promised that everything would work out in the
end and that she is committed and invested in this birth. But I was devastated;
I should be able to choose the exact person that I want to provide care for my
baby during delivery and the insurance company I pay every two weeks should
cover my birthing costs! My midwife is a beautiful, kind, loving and
compassionate woman who deserves to be compensated for her services.
Now, I am reaching out to all of you to help me raise enough
money to help pay for her fee, my home birth and maternity leave. I know
and believe in my heart that I live in an abundant world filled with gracious,
giving and supportive people who are always willing to lend a hand! Please
support the birth of my first baby and give what you can. No amount is too
small; every dollar will help! I am already immensely grateful!
